    Carol L. Ando of Ogdensburg, N.J., passed away suddenly on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at the Newton Medical Center. She was 67.

    Daughter of Eleanor (Dunn) and the late Stephen Macko, she was born in Newton, N.J., and was a lifelong resident of Ogdensburg.

    Active in her community, Carol was a devoted parishioner of St. Thomas of Aquin, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was a former teachers’ aide with the Ogdensburg Board of Education, and had been active in the PTA. Carol was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her source of strength during her many battles with cancer.

    She was predeceased by her daughter Michele Ando; and her father, Stephen Macko.

    Carol is survived by her loving husband, Jim Ando; son, Jim and his wife, Jeanette Ando, of Stillwater, N.J.; daughters Jen Ando and her partner, Brian Doherty, of Franklin, N.J., and Patti and her husband, Ed Muldoon, of Newton; grandchildren, E.J. and Megan Muldoon, and Abby, Alexa, and Maddy Ando; brother, Bill Macko and his partner, June Robbins; as well as a niece, Brittany Macko, all of Lafayette, N.J.

    Visitation was held Jan. 1 at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, Franklin, N.J. A Funeral Mass was held Jan. 2 at the St. Thomas of Aquin Roman Catholic Church in Ogdensburg. Burial in the church cemetery followed.
