Scholar athlete Silva named to dean's list

NEWTON — Christian Silva of Newton has been named to the dean's list at East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pa., for the 2015 fall semester and, in addition, has achieved the honor of Scholar Athlete.
Silva is a sophomore who is majoring in exercise science. He is on the ESU Wrestling Team, where he competed at 141 and 149 this year.
Silva is a 2014 graduate of Kittantinny Regional High School, where he also wrestled and finished his 2014 career as District 3 Champion, Region 1 State Qualifier, Top 16 in the NJSIAA Wrestling Championships.
