Crabgrass Theatre explores the joy of poetry

Sussex — The Crabgrass Puppet Theatre will explore favorite children's poems in a free puppet show, “Haiku, HipHop and Hotdogs,” at the Sussex Middle School Auditorium from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Nov. 11. Puppets and human actors will bring to life the poems of Jack Prelutsky, Beatrice Schenk de Regniers, David McCord, Geoff Hewitt and others, including: “Every Time I Climb a Tree!” “Fearless Flying Hotdogs!” “Funky Snowman!” “Keep a Poem in Your Pocket” and especially... “Do Not Approach an Emu!” Free tickets are available at the Sussex-Wantage Library, 69 Route 639 in Wantage. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the performance. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
