New exhibit at college gallery

NEWTON-From June 3 to July 22, a new exhibit by New Jersey photographer Robert A. Parker will be featured at the Art Gallery of Sussex County Community College, with nearly 60 architectural photos, portraits, and action photos. Parker's work is a search for simplicity to produce balance and creative tension. Architectural styles being shown vary from ancient Rome and Athens to Nantucket and Cape May. Some images capture the action of bullfights, rodeos, pageants, and sporting events. The portraits emphasize simplicity, isolation, and light. The Art Gallery, located at the Newton campus in Building C, is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call Julie McWilliams at 973-300-2144.
