Winter acting classes for all ages

    Sussex — Tri-State Actors Theater is offering winter acting classes for children and teens and advanced acting workshops for adults. Classes will run from January until March. Children's Classes, for ages 6 to 12, will be under the instruction of Patricia Meacham, Tri-State’s managing director. The classes will focus on creative dramatics, crafts and games. Class times are 10 a.m. until noon each Saturday, beginning Jan. 21, at the Sussex United Methodist Church, Route 23, Sussex. The final session will be Feb. 25 (6 classes). The class registration fee is $190. Teen classes are for students ages 13 to 17 and will be taught by Tri-State’s artistic director, actor and teacher, Paul Meacham. Students will learn basic skills of acting, work on monologues and two-character scenes, with individual instruction for every student. Winter classes meet Monday afternoons beginning, Jan. 23, from 5 until 7 p.m. The final class will be Monday, March 26 (10 classes). The class registration fee is $230. The Advanced acting workshop, for adults with or without acting experience, is under the direction of Tara Bowles, a professional actor and teacher. Scene study and acting classes will be developed through the Stella Adler Technique. Workshops will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Mondays beginning Jan. 23 and ending March 26 (10 classes). The class registration fee is $260. The Teen and Adult classes will meet at High Point Regional High School, Pidgeon Hill Road, Wantage. Advance Registration is requested.
