NEWTON — Police Benevolent Association Local No. 138 members from the Byram and the Newton Police Departments brought flowers to residents in area nursing homes to let them know that they are being thought of during the holidays. Local 138 purchased 150 poinsettias and hand-delivered the potted plants to residents of Bristol Glen, Barnhill and Andover nursing homes. Members of Sussex County PBA Local No. 138 said they look forward to visiting area nursing homes every year. "It's a great opportunity to meet with residents who may not have many visitors during the holidays," said Newton Police Chief Michael Richards.
