Husband and wife take double victory at Andover 10K

ANDOVER- Stillwater couple Guy and Laurie Gordon had a double victory at the third annual Friend 2 Friend 10K race held Sunday, Sept. 26 in Andover. Guy Gordon, 46, and Sparta's Anand Dash battled for the first five miles before Gordon pulled away with a 100 yard victory. Gordon, who ran 38:00, is coming off of meniscus knee surgery he had in March. This is his first victory coming back. Laurie Gordon, 36, had a decisive victory on the women's side running 42 minutes. The Gordons volunteer their time to coach Sussex County's Bears Youth Running Program and the pair compete in running races all over the nation. The races had over 100 participants and the 10K and accompanying 5K races benefitted funds to enable local women who can't afford them to get free mammograms.
