Byram's new alert system takes effect Nov. 30

The Township of Byram is finalizing its new primary community notification system and effective Nov. 30, 2019 will no longer be using the e-Gov email system to provide community notifications.

The Nixle Community Alert System allows community members to register to receive email and/or text notifications directly from the Township of Byram and the user can get instant notices about everything from missing persons, traffic accidents, road closures and local community events and activities.

With Nixle, the user can choose to have messages sent to their text capable phone, email, both, or they can simply log on to Nixle and view the messages.

The Township of Byram strongly encourages every citizen to sign up immediately to continue to receive these messages and stay connected with the Township of Byram.

Nixle Community Alert System will become the primary source for accurate, up to date information from the Township of Byram.
