Norwescap offers workshop on early childhood education

    NEWTON — Norwescap's Child and Family Resource Services is offering a workshop, "Early Childhood Education: Another Perspective," from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Newton office. Robert Sperlazzi, founder of Cognitive Corner for Mental Fitness and New Wave Learning Program, will be the presenter. Current practices will be discussed and analyzed and a new approach will be offered, incorporating the thoughts of Piaget, Bloom, Gardner and Jensen. Sample early childhood learning activities will be demonstrated. Mr. Sperlazzi has been an educator for approximately 40 years and has had practical learning experiences with all age-level students.
