A little Princess makes an appearance

    SUSSEX COUNTY-Little Lost Arts presents "A Little Princess," at the Ratsch Theater, 6 Broad Street, in Branchville. Based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's children's novel, Sara Crewe, this musical adaptation tells the story of wealthy young Sara, who is sent to live at greedy Miss Minchin's Seminary for Girls, while her father is away on business in India. However, when an unfortunate turn of events leaves Sara a pauper, Miss Minchin retaliates, only to discover that nothing can destroy the little girl's spirit and optimism. Directed by Sheri Flannery-Verrilli, the cast features Ellen St.John as Sara, and Kim Rutledge as Miss Minchin. The cast is rounded out by an ensemble of Sussex County students. Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 10 and 11. Two matinees at 12 noon on Saturday, Dec. 11 and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12. General admission tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for children 4-12 (no children under 4, admitted).
