American feminist literature is topic of discussion
Vernon - At 3 p.m. On Sunday March 25, the Friends of the Library, Dorothy E. Henry Branch, on Route 94 in the McAfee section of Vernon will present Theresa Hunt discussing, “American Feminist Literature, Little Women to The Yellow Wallpaper. Hunt, who has a Master’s degree from Rutgers University, teaches Literature, Writing, and Woman’s studies at two universities in New Jersey. She recently received a full-lime appointment to the English Department at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She is becoming one of the Metropolitan area’s foremost experts on women studies - including poetry, fiction and gender issues. An avid traveler, she has most recently spent time in Africa and Peru. Her travel writing has appeared in Destination Elsewhere, Traveler’s Impressions, and the online journal Hackwriters. The program is suitable for teens and adult and take place in the Community Room of the library. Admission is free and a reception will follow.
