Auditions for Weber/Rice's “Dreamcoat” set in Newton

    Newton — Sussex County Commmunity College will be holding auditions for the musical by Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” on Thursday, Jan. 4, from 11 a.m. to noon; Thursday, Jan. 4 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.; and again Saturday, Jan. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All auditions will take place in the Sussex Bank Theatre, D Building, at the college on One College Hill Road, Newton. Needed are performer and singers, ages 14 and older. Dancers ages 16 and older are encouraged to audition. There will be a small children’s chorus for boys and girls ages 8 and older. Technical assistance is also needed, as well as musicians, in particular keyboard and percussion. Auditioners should bring music and dancers should be dressed appropriately. All are welcome; performers need not be students of the college. Performance dates are April 12, 13, 14.
