Bah, Humbug! coming to Little Lost Arts Nov. 25-Dec. 11

Branchville - Along with department-store Santas, Christmas concerts, tree lightings and other traditions that herald the holiday season are community-theater productions of holiday plays. Little Lost Arts is no exception, as it prepares to present Bah, Humbug!, at the Ratsch Theater, located in the Garris Center, at 6 Broad Street, Branchville. Bah, Humbug! is a milder musical adaption of Charles Dicken’s often frightful, but beloved book, A Christmas Carol, with a beautiful musical score, lively dance numbers, colorful costumes, special effects and a mixed cast of adult and student actors, all of which make it holiday fare for the entire family. All the familiar characters are present, including Ebenezer Scrooge, the stingiest, greediest man on earth, who, after being visited by his deceased partner and three ghostly spirits, changes his life around and becomes a charitable and benevolent friend and neighbor to all those who know him. Directed by Sheri Flannery-Verrilli, the cast of Bah, Humbug! features Tom Courtright as Ebenezer Scrooge, and includes Dave Vorhies, Nancy Bushman, Peter Maris, Courtney Verrilli, Kim Pinglora, Bronwyn DeSena, Amanda Bridges, Samantha Bushman, Aidan DeSena, Liz Poles, Liah Patterson, Micael-Anne Verrilli, Caitlin Lubey, Kellen Wittrien, Ellen St. John, Nicki Penski and Jamie Lowenstein. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25-26, Dec. 2-3 and 9-10 and at 3 p.m. on Nov. 27 and Dec. 4 and 11. Tickets are $10 for ages 4-12 (no children under four), and $12 for 13-adult. Advance tickets may be ordered by calling 875-5111. For more information, visit www.littlelostarts.com.
