Belly-dancing to raise money for homeless

    Vernon - The Champagne Girls, a non-profit organization that helps others through belly dancing, will hold the “Motion and Misletoe” Charity Benefit at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the VFW Post at 69 Carey Avenue, Butler, just off of Route 23. The performance will benefit Eva’s Village, a homeless shelter in Paterson. Tickets are $10, which includes hot food, goodies and a visit from Santa Claus. Troupe leader Sherri Van Houten is an ordained minister, with a masters in theology. She is also the author of Belly Dance: Motion on the Ocean of Spirituality.
