Bern will play at Salt in Byram

BYRAM — Salt, a gastropub on Route 106 in Byram, will host an evening with neo-folk icon Dan Bern on Thursday Dec. 30 at 8:30 p.m. Opening the show will be Mingo Lodge of the Big Boss Sausage band at 7 p.m. Organizers said Bern “has inspired humored and rocked audiences with a unique brilliant wit.” He has performed nationwide and in Europe, written songs for two movies (Walk Hard and Get Him to The Greek) and written half a dozen books. Bern has an extensive catalog of songs that reflects his pop culture, social consciousness and raw in your face comedic revelations, according to organizers.
