Byram plans trip to outer space

    BYRAM-The Byram Parks and Recreation Department is planning a bus trip to outer space. On Saturday, April 30, they will join with the Mt. Olive Recreation Department for a trip to Manhattan's Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History. The outing includes lunch at Mars 2112, a restaurant that includes 22-passenger spacecraft simulator, which tilts, pitches and shakes you on a journey through space and time to arrive on "Mars." Diners watch the Martian news on video screens as they choose Martian cuisine from the Martian Times menu. The cost of the trip is $56 for children ages 4-11 and $66 for adults, which includes admission to the American Museum of Natural History's Rose Center for Earth and Space, the world-famous Hayden Planetarium Space Theatre and IMAX presentation, Gottesman Hall of Planet Earth, Cullman Hall of the Universe, lunch at the Mars 2112 Restaurant, coach bus transportation, parking, and fees.
