Dozens of visitors came and went during a free seven-hour event held at The Nordic House in Vernon. Celebrated in pre-Christian Scandinavia, Vetrnaetr or Winter Nights was a Norse winter festival where participants asked for protection against the harshness of winter. Who can say what brought this weekend's warm weather?
