‘Carnival' coming to Lake Mohawk

    Sparta -The charming musical "Carnival" will be presented at Lake Mohawk Country Club in Sparta. The performances will take place at 8 p.,m. Thursday through Saturday, July 29 through July 31, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 1. In Carnival, a lovely young woman arrives in a small town, rather desperate after her father has died, and takes the only job she can find, working in a traveling carnival. Don Thoenig is the director, Laura Rutan the musical director and Carol Emerson the producer. Lauren Dermody is Lili, Tom Courtright is Paul, Dan Homeijer is Marco the Magnificent, Heather Stromberg is his gal Rosalie, KC Cameron is Grobert, David Vorhies is Jacquot, Deborah Sheward is Frau Schlegel, Paul Tracy is the Swiss doctor and stage manager. The ensemble consists of Kristin Woodbury, Brendan O'Brien, Courtney Verrilli, Angela Camack, Kris Tucker, Bill and Drew Cranisky, Una Lee Williams and JoAnne Emerson.
