Hackettstown - The Centenary Stage Company, ends its 2006-07 season with “Quartermaine’s Terms” by Simon Gray. Quartermaine’s Terms is a portrait of a mediocre but lovable English schoolteacher named St. John Quartermaine and his fellow faculty at a small school in Cambridge. A play that is at once full of doom and gloom and bristling with wry comedy. Gray’s people are silly and selfish, but they are not foolish. Life has a way of never turning out as expected. That is what ‘’Quartermaine’s Terms’’ brings beautifully to the stage. The show will be directed by producing director Carl Wallnau. Wallnau has directed many productions including the world premiere of Inventing Montana and the Tillie Project. He has been cited for outstanding direction in productions of Springtime For Henry and Pygmalion and has directed in numerous regional theaters including Hartford Theater Works and Musical Theater Works. The role of St. John Quartermaine will be played by Steven Dennis. Dennis has had recurring and guest star roles on “Enterprise,” NBC’s “Profiler,” and “Star Trek: Voyager” and has directed professionally in New York, Los Angeles, and Regional Theatre, including the CSC production of “Sight Unseen.” Also appearing at CSC for the first time is Broadway Veteran Andrew Boyer who will be playing the role of Loomis. Boyer has been seen on Broadway in “The Music Man,” “Beauty and Beast,” “My Fair Lady,” “The Odd Couple” and “Oklahoma.” The rest of the cast consists of Jay Gaussoin and CSC veterans Katrina Ferguson, Becky Engborg and Steven L. Barron. Centenary College theater student Christopher Young will be making his professional debut in the role of the charming Meadle. Chris Young is a senior at Centenary College and was last seen as Puck in the Centenary College production of “A Mid Summer’s Night Dream.” The production opens Feb. 23 and runs through March 11.
