Chef Andre deWaal to teach cooking classes

Wayne — Chef Andre deWaal, owner of Andre’s Restaurant and Wine Boutique in Newton, will teach a number of cooking classes at Adventures in Cooking, in Wayne. DeWaal will give a Pasta Work Shop on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $65. Then, at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 7, participants can learn Techniques of Fresh Pasta and Sauces, including ravioli and potato gnocchi. A four-course meal, with wine, will be prepared. Cost is $65. DeWaal wants participants to learn to cook some of his favorites, master the basics, and begin to create their own recipes. On Monday, Nov. 27, deWaal will teach participants how to prepare a New Year’s Eve feast. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, deWaal helps participants to expand their culinary repertoire, whether they are beginners or experts, while enjoying a delicious meal, including wine.
