Comedy for the whole family
Greenwood Lake Theatre at the Lake, Greenwood Lake Arts, will present two short plays from the commedia dell’arte tradition on Sunday, Oct. 15. “The Phantom Father” and “Dr. Arlecchino and the Imaginary Autopsee” will be performed at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park, at the south end of Windermere Avenue. The plays appeal to young and old alike, with clever dialogue, rough and tumble staging, and musical interludes that underscore the action. Directed by Emilie A. Cozzi, the cast features Daisy Dinh, Luke Gordon, Steve Kilduff, Michael Lange, Leah Pardillo, Christopher Rittendale, Ellen Sheffield, Angelica Zeller and Thomas Zygmunt. Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to view the show. In the event of rain, the performances will be held at the Greenwood Lake Elementary School on Waterstone Road. Admission is free. Donations are welcomed to help defray production costs. For further information, call 845-477-3885.
