Congregation B'nai Emet in Sparta holds holiday services

    Sparta — Congregation B’nai Emet, on Main St. in Sparta, invites community residents to join them for the Jewish high holidays and all year long. Yom Kippur, Neilah Services, (including Yizkor) will be held on Monday, Oct. 2, followed by a break-fast. Sukkoch services will be held on Oct. 8. There is no charge for the high holiday services. B’nai Emet describes itself as casual and egalitarian, with their services reflecting the informality and friendliness of a neighborhood congregation. They have been in existence for more than thirteen years and pride themselves in providing a comfortable atmosphere where men, women and children share in the prayers that are spoken in Hebrew and English. B’nai Emet welcomes new members, including single parents and interfaith families. All members of the community are welcome.
