Continuous live music at Jefferson Day
Jefferson The main stage as well as the small stage area and small tent that will be set up on the Jefferson Township High School field for Jefferson Township Day XXI on Saturday, July 14, showcasing local talent throughout the day and into the evening. Following the 11 a.m. parade along Weldon Road, there will be brief opening ceremonies on the main stage. Then, at 12:30 p.m., the students of Diane’s School of Dance will be performing some of their routines. Meanwhile, under the small tent, Jinx the Clown will be entertaining the children from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The Truth, a band affiliated with the Lake Hopatcong Methodist Church, will perform on the main stage at 1:35 p.m., followed at 2:30 p.m. by a demonstration by the students of the Oak Ridge Martial Arts Academy. The Acoustic Eels take the stage at 3:15 p.m., with The Swamptones right behind them at 4:20. Under the small tent, Merrillons the Clown will be on hand for the youngsters from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The young adult band Entrall will take the main stage at 5:25 p.m. and Scoot on Down will perform at 6:30 p.m.. Meanwhile on the small stage, several young adult bands from Jefferson Township will be performing: Revelations at 1 p.m., Asthetic Standby at 2 p.m., a band booked yet to be named at 3 p.m., The Happy Ending at 4 p.m. and Stop the Clock at 5 p.m. The Disciples of Love, a group affiliated with the Grace Evangelical Church, will follow on the small stage at 6 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., Jefferson Township Mayor Russ Felter will present his Citizens of the Year Awards, and then the Jefferson Township Community Chorus will take the stage at 8 p.m. The Jefferson Township Community Band will perform at 8:45 p.m., in preparation for an aerial fireworks display at 9:45 p.m..
