County YMCA to offer family fun nights
Hardyston The Sussex County YMCA, located at 15 Wits Rd. in Hardyston, will host another one of their family fun nights on Friday, March 9, from 6:30 - 9 p.m. In addition to the activities and open swim one would expect, this month’s family fun night will feature a special visit from the Delaware Valley Raptor Center. A presentation will be given as part of their Birds of Prey program, which focuses on bird biology, conservation and current events regarding man’s impact on birds of prey. Participants will have the opportunity to see some these magnificent animals up close and personal, and even bring in an empty milk carton to make their own bird feeder. David Carcieri, executive director of the Sussex County YMCA, said, “We are proud to welcome back the Delaware Valley Raptor Center. Last year’s presentation was both informative and compelling, and we can expect more of the same this year.” Family fun night is $15 per family in advance and $20 per family at the door for YMCA members, and $5 per child and $10 per adult for non-members. Pizza will be available at the pool for an additional cost of $7 per pizza or $1 per slice. The Sussex County YMCA hosts the fun nights on the second Friday of each month.
