Peters Valley — The Delaware Highlands Seven exhibition is an in-depth look at seven artists in the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania region. Local artist Thomas Philip Davis will have his work included in this exhibition at Peters Valley Craft Center. Slated to coincide with its annual Open House/Bevans Day, the opening reception will be held in the second floor Sally D. Francisco Gallery from noon to 7 p.m., Sunday, May 6, and is free and open to the public. The Wantage resident will exhibit a sample of his fine art photography. The display will include several images which capture his unique perspectives of local landscapes. Most images are in black and white and focus on contrasting light and geometry, and are often of rural barns, bridges, or signs in stark comparison to their surroundings such as the image of a railroad crossing in Sparta, N.J. Matching an artist to each of Peters Valleys seven artistic workshop categories, the additional exhibiting artists are: John Rais (blacksmithing), Ricky Boscarino (ceramics), Kerr Grabowski (fibers), Judith Neugebauer (fine metals), Tom Davis (photography), Peter Galbert (woodworking), and Connie Sickler (special topics-limited edition gliclee prints). The exhibition will be on view from May 6 through June 3.
