Diane Pratt, Catherine Marchant are Artists of the Month

Photographer Diane Pratt and fiber and bead artist Catherine Marchant are Artists of the Month at Gallery 23 in Blairstown. The gallery will highlight their work throughout May beginning with an artist's reception for the public on Saturday, April 30, from noon to 5 p.m. For Pratt, a resident of Hope, the garden is a place of beauty and relaxation. She photographs garden elements using black and white infrared film. Selected pieces are hand colored to bring the garden experience to life. Pratt, an award winning photographer with 30 years experience, has been published in many garden books, magazines, and calendars. Marchant is a resident of Westfield, She specializes in one-of-a-kind, hand woven and knitted clothing and beaded jewelry. A trademark of Marchant's art is bright colors and the inclusion of glittery threads and beads. Gallery 23, an artist co-op, is located at 23 Main Street, Blairstown.
