Dream Interpretations' presented at SCCC
Sussex County Only the dreamer can truly know what her/his dream means; this presentation/workshop will instruct participants in the art of dream interpretation. SCCC Professor Frank Ancona, will offer his “Dream Interpretations” on Friday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in the Sussex Bank Theater at the college. Participants will learn how to keep a dream diary, the importance of doing so, and techniques to understand the oftentimes puzzling and perplexing imagistic language of dreams. Audience participation will be strongly solicited. Ancona is a professor at Sussex County Community College, where he teaches courses on Myth, Dream and Image and Shakespeare. He has been profiled for “Teaching Excellence” by the N.J. Council of Community Colleges and is a teaching award winner. Wyndham Hall Press selected his fourth and most recent book, “Femina Sapiens: Women, the First Truly Thinking Human Beings” to be part of its Rhodes-Fulbright Library series. Ancona has also written numerous articles. He is currently coauthoring a new book, “She Says/He Says Shakespeare” with SCCC colleague, Mary Ives-Thompson. He is an Associate Editor of The Journal of Evolutionary Psychology and is a “Distinguished Scholar” for the NJCH Horizon Speakers Bureau, lecturing throughout New Jersey on the Goddess Tradition and on The DaVinci Code.
