Dunneman gospel singers to perform at Grace Church on Nov. 6
OAK RIDGE-The Dunnemans, popular gospel singers from Binghamton, N.Y., will present a worship concert at the 11 a.m. service on Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Grace Evangelical Free Church, 5550 Berkshire Valley Rd., Oak Ridge. Reg and Gretchen Dunneman sing their own special blend of gospel music, including southern gospel, traditional, hymn, classical and contemporary Christian styles. Their full-time ministry presented over 200 concerts in 2004 in the eastern states from Maine to Florida. The Dunnemans have produced numerous recordings, which will be available at the concert, including There’s Something Going On, Feeding His Flock, Tell Them This, Jesus Saves, Timeless, and their Christmas album, Angels, Shepherds and a Star. The Recital features Gretchen singing classic church solos. Their latest album, Confident, just released, contains some powerful new songs. Reg Dunneman, a native of Stratford, Ontario, grew up in a musical family and played piano at an early age. For 20 years he sang with Canada’s Galileans, a southern gospel quartet that toured Canada and the United States. Gretchen has been a member of the Broome County (N.Y.) Savoyards, performing Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. She also sang in the choruses of the B.C. Pops, the Binghamton Symphony Orchestra and the Tri Cities Opera, all in Binghamton. Both have sung with the Binghamton Madrigal Choir, which performs a cappella choral works. For more information, visit their website, thedunnemans.net.
