Famed jazz trio at Bula restaurant

NEWTON-Jazz drummer Karl Latham will be joined by guitarist John Hart, and Mark Egan, the renowned electric bassist, 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25, at the Bula restaurant jazz series. Latham, a regular at Bula's Friday night jazz sessions, has performed with a wide spectrum of notable performers. Hart, who also leads his own group and Egan is considered one of the most respected electric bassists on the music scene today. Egan has recorded three platinum and three gold albums and has played in the Pat Metheny Group for years and with Sting and the Gil Evans Orchestra. There is a $10 minimum food/beverage charge.
