Second annual fundraiser pairs local foods with wine to benefit the Foodshed Alliance BLAIRSTOWN The Foodshed Alliance will host the second annual Farm to Fork dinner and wine tasting at Alba Vineyard on Sunday, June 3, at 4 p.m. A cocktail hour and six-course wine-pairing dinner will be presented by seven of northern New Jerseys most reputable chefs, featuring locally produced food from farms throughout northern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Whole Foods Markets will be donating additional ingredients. Expert winemakers have hand-selected each courses pairing, which will begin with gourmet hors doeuvres during a VIP vineyard tour and conclude with elegant al fresco dining on the stunning grounds. Entertainment by folk-music artist Kathy Phillips will accompany the culinary creations of chef Bradley Boyle of Salt Gastropub in Byram, chef Ben Del Coro of Fossil Farms in Boonton, chef Jesse Jones of Chef Jesse Concepts, chef George Mandakus of Innova Cuisine, chef Dan Rothman of Whole Foods Market, chef Dan Richer of Arturos in Maplewood, and Diane Pinder, owner and chocolatier of Donna and Company Artisanal Chocolates. Funds raised from the event will benefit the Foodshed Alliance, a grassroots organization dedicated to integrating local food systems that nourish people, sustain farmers, respect lands and builds a resilient food economy. The Farm To Fork celebration will be held in Warren Countys Village of Finesville, where Alba Vineyard has built a reputation for combining traditional wine making standards with minimal environmental impact to create a superior venue and distinctive product.
