Hackettstown -Prior to the 8 p.m. performance of “Quartermaine’s Terms” on Friday at the Centenary Theatre, March 2, a reception sponsored by the Foodshed Alliance will be held. At 7 p.m., Tara Bowers, Foodshed Alliance coordinator, will present information about the many programs available through the alliance. Actors and artists from the theatre will also be on hand to chat with patrons. The Foodshed Alliance was created in 2001 as a grassroots, non-profit organization promoting locally grown food, sustainable farming practices and a self-sustaining rural economy. It maintains the “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” campaign to connect consumers and local farmers. “This wonderful organization is providing a critical component for promoting and preserving the quality of life elements which we all treasure in the communities of Northwest New Jersey. It is a mission which we at the Centenary Stage Company both share and heartily support,” said CSC artistic associate, Catherine Rust. For information about tickets for the performance and reception on March 2, call the CSC office at 908-979-0900 or visit online at www.centenarystageco.org <http://www.centenarystageco.org.
