STANHOPE-With a child's vision of Sussex County, the Stanhope School fourth grade students entered an art contest sponsored by the constitutional office of Sussex County. With more than 500 entries on the theme, "My County," the poster submitted by Shannon Rohan was awarded Honorable Mention and will be displayed at the Sussex County Fair in August. Shannon is an art student at Karen Klein's Art Magic Studio in Stanhope, and hopes to be an artist someday. Her favorite medium is colored pencils, and her drawing reflected the beauty of sunset over Lake Musconetcong. County Clerk Erma Gormley, who made the presentation, said that the contest is appropriately limited to fourth graders because it is they who are learning about county government.
