Free ‘haunted house' in Vernon Oct. 29

VERNON-The Pace Institute of Karate is hosting a “haunted house” for all area children, ages 12 and under, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, at the institute. Parents are advised to escort younger children through the house as it can be scary for small children. Last year, approximately 250 area children visited the haunted house, as the school was turned into a dark maze with filled with goblins, mummies, skeletons and a host of other surprises. The institute will also offer free candy as a special Halloween treat. The institute is located at 4 Vernon Crossing Rd. at the Someplace Special Square in the Glenwood section of Vernon.
