Free train rides at Heaven Hill

Vernon — Heaven Hill Farm is offering free carnival style train rides for children every weekend in December through Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Santa Claus will be on hand Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11 from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors can also see the twinkling lights and animated singing bears that adorn Santa’s wonderland scene and will receive complimentary candy canes given out by Santa himself. Families can take a photo with Santa or capture a classic family portrait while nestled up against the seasonal backdrop. The aroma of warm cider donuts, holiday pies and cookies fill the air inside the farm market and gift shop at Heaven Hill. Seasonally festive funnel cakes and hot cocoa will be available at an outdoor concession stand on the weekends for all shoppers. Established in 1982, Heaven Hill Farm is a 150-acre working farm and full service garden center offering annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, gardening supplies, seasonal produce, patio and pool furniture, sheds and seasonal giftware.
