Guitarists coming to Warwick Winery
Warwick, N.Y. Peter Kaukonen and John Sheehan will be performing at Warwick Valley Winery on Friday, July 6. The show, starting at 8 p.m., will showcase the musical talents on guitar of each performer. Kaukonen, a San Francisco guitarist, has played, toured and recorded with Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna, Johnny Winter and Black Kangaroo. Performing on both acoustic and electric guitar, he will play some of his music from the ’70s, as well as selections from his most recent releases, “Going Home” and “Beyond Help.” Sheehan is a composer and finger style guitarist from Ringwood. His classically inspired music has been used in numerous films and documentaries. His repertoire spans the range of guitar styles, from finger picking rags to original instrumental compositions. His solo performance will be given entirely in the finger style. Doors open at 6:30; tickets $15. Reservations are suggested, as Winery Seating is limited. To purchase tickets, call Warwick Valley Winery at 845-258-4858. Pane, the Winery Bakery and café, will be serving dinner before and during the show.
