‘Gypsy' and ‘Camelot' will headline festival

Hackettstown — The Broadway hit musicals “Gypsy” and “Camelot” will headline the Centenary Young Performers Festival of Shows this winter. “Gypsy” will be performed on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. “Camelot” will be performed on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11 at 4p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. Both musicals are directed and choreographed by program director Michael Blevins. He is a Broadway veteran who appeared in several Broadway productions including “Bring Back Birdie,” “Little Me” and “The Tap Dance Kid.” He has appeared in the Tony Awards Show, as well as many other television shows and featured films. Local students in the Young Performers Festival include: Alana Claffey (Sparta), Devony DeMattia (Byram), Stella Funkhouser (Newton), Nicole Gramko (Newton), Daniel Marion (Newton), Erica Murphy (Newton), Anthony Sica (Sparta), Nicholas Sica (Sparta), Ashley Terpak (Sparta), Sara Terpak (Sparta) and Joshua Wesson (Stanhope).
