NEWTON — On Sunday afternoon, Feb. 12, Harmony in Motion spread some Valentine’s cheer to residents of local nursing homes, Knoll View in Sparta and Barn Hill in Newton. This women’s a cappella chorus, along with their assistant director Ruth Perry, performed a variety of musical selections from their recent show including the famous love song, “When I Fall In Love.” One of the group’s quartets, Mixed Nuts, was also featured. Highlighting the performance was a sing-along, always a favorite with the residents. Their voices combined in several songs, including “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “Swing Low Sweet Chariot” and “My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean.” More information about this lively and diverse group of women can be found at www.harmonyinmotion.net.
