Holiday events at Our Lady of Fatima

VERNON — Two holiday events will be held over the coming weekends at Our Lady of Fatima Church. On Sunday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m., the eighth annual Christmas concert will be presented in the church hall, 184 Breakneck Road in Highland Lakes. The event brings local talent together to share the spirit of Christmas with guitars, keyboards, voice and more. Traditional and contemporary music will be performed. The concert is free; however a donation of food or money would be appreciated to benefit those less fortunate. The church also will host a Christmas Carol Festival from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. Attendees will be able to sing along to favorite Christmas carols, view an empty stable, listen to the story of Jesus’ birth and hear what people say about Jesus in their lives today.
