Lake Mohawk —For the fourth year, the House Committee will sponsor a tour of homes in Lake Mohawk and will feature seven houses, both old and new, built in the lake style, plus the newly renovated Cruiser Club. The tour will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16. An optional special luncheon, the last of the season, will be served on the boardwalk from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Open to all, the luncheon is $15, but reservations must be made by calling the club office at 729-6156. Tickets for the tour are $25 and may be combined with the luncheon for $35. The tickets can be purchased at the club office and at Drue Chryst Gallery (21 White Deer Plaza) during normal business hours, beginning Sept. 1. Tickets for the tour will also be available on the Lake Mohawk Country Club Boardwalk the day of the tour from 10a.m. until 1 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine with all proceeds used to purchase needed items for the Club. The purpose of the tour by the House Committee is not only to showcase some of the most charming houses on the Lake but also to encourage the use of lake style or “fanciful” architecture to help preserve one of the most unique areas in the state.
