Jefferson Township Gazebo Committee ready to reorganize

JEFFERSON — The Jefferson Township Gazebo Committee has been presenting its summer concert series for the past few years at the Victorian-style gazebo structure situated in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex on Weldon Road. Recently absorbed under the umbrella of the Jefferson Arts Committee and with the sudden passing of its long-time chairperson, Deborah Smead, the Committee is attempting to reorganize in an effort to move forward with a 2007 summer concert season. Individuals interested in working to continue the free summer concert series, helping to landscape the site, handling publicity for upcoming concerts, and/or organizing fundraising activities to expand the concert series are encouraged to attend a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at the Jefferson Township Municipal Building located at 1033 Weldon Road.
