Junior Friends of GL Library host ‘Plumpy' pumpkin sale this Saturday

Greenwood Lake - The Junior Friends of the Greenwood Lake Public Library is sponsoring a “Plumpy” pumpkin sale on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of CVS Pharmacy on Windermere Avenue, Greenwood Lake. Plain pumpkins and chrysanthemums are for sale as well as hand-painted pumpkins by the library’s Teen Advisory Group. The group is directed by Rose-Emma Calabrese, head of youth services. The Junior Friends of the Greenwood Lake Public Library is a local youth group raising awareness of the library by involving its members in fund-raising events in support of the library. The Teen Advisory Group is another library youth group whose members recommend ideas for youth-oriented books, materials and programming.
