Kittatinny Park to display resident owl and crow
Andover The N.J. Dept. of Environmental Protection, Div. of Parks and Forestry, Kittatinny Valley State Park invites the public to participate in “The Great Horned Owl and the Crow,” to be held on Friday, Sept. 29, from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Kittatinny Valley State Park visitor center. Suitable for all ages, this live bird show will introduce you to Kiki, the Great Horned Owl, and Maxwell, the American Crow. These two birds intrigue audiences with their natural beauty and sometimes comic behavior. The program features close-up viewing of these magnificent birds, and audience participation is encouraged. Photographs may be taken during the presentation. A question-and-answer session will follow. The center is located 1 mile north of Route 206, off Goodale Road in Andover. This program is free of charge, however pre-registration is required, as space is limited. Pets are not permitted during the program. Adults must accompany children at all times.
