Kittatinny Players welcome guest director, stage Neil Simons' “Rumors”

Hampton - Guest director Dawn Fantasia Cunneely presents a Kittatinny Players production of Neil Simon’s farce, “Rumors,” at Kittatinny Regional High Schoolon Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Peter A. Mahler Theatre. Fantasia Cunneely is a former Miss Sussex County and a graduate of Davis & Elkins College with a B.A. in Theatre. She has worked professionally on stages in New Jersey and elsewhere This is her first appearance with Kittatinny. “Kittatinny is a unique environment that really allows for careful grooming of the talents of these young people. I have never worked with a more dedicated, talented pool of kids,” she said. Some students found success when they accompanied her to audition for a murder-mystery dinner theatre. Five students were cast in a production of “The Class Reunion,” which opens on March 10 at the Holiday Inn Express in Newton. “It was rewarding to be a part of their first experience auditioning professionally. This will be the first paid acting job for these kids, and I couldn’t be prouder.” The show features Katie Hoyer, Will Rivera, Chris D’Angelo, Ally Voris, Brittany Wilkerson, Gary Fox, Alysha Snook, Tim Chenard, Jack Kane, and Kylie Ferguson.
