Library to host art exhibit
GREENWOOD LAKE, N.Y. The Greenwood Lake Public Library is featuring Cyra Greene of Manhattan and Greenwood Lake as its artist of the month for March. There will be a meet-the-artist reception for Greene’s show, “The Journey Over The Bridge,” at the library, 79 Waterstone Road, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 19. The show includes more than a dozen of Greene’s acrylics, water colors and pen-and-ink drawings of landscape and jazz-influenced themes. Cyra combines poetry, psychology and art in an inventive lifestyle that is well-known among her fans in Greenwich Village, where she makes her primary residence, and upstate New York, from where she draws the inspiration for many of her landscapes. Originals and reproductions of the works will be on sale. Listed works include, “Greenwood Lake Stoptime,” “Bear Mountain Bridge,” and “Columbia Philosophers’ Jazz.”
