Sunday at the Columns MILFORD, Pa. — The Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and the Pike County Historical Society will present an afternoon of opera at the Columns Museum on Sunday, Oct. 23. Join hospice founder Julia Quinlan for a relaxing afternoon featuring the voice of William Bolella. The afternoon's hosts also include Barbara Buchanan, Jane Brace and Kevin Stroyan. Bolella has appeared throughout New York and New Jersey, including recitals for Nicolazzo studios and numerous concert engagements. His operatic roles here have encompassed Cavaradossi in Puccin's "Tosca;" the Italian Tenor in Strauss' "Rosendavalier" and Rinuccio in Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi," all with the New York Opera Forum. His stage roles include appearances as the tenor lead in the Right-Side-Up Comedy Player's parodies, "Egomania III" and "Egomania VII" and a cameo appearance with Sirius Production's presentation of "Betrayal," where the producer specifically added a musical interlude for him. The Columns is located at 609 Broad Street, in Milford, Pa. The presentation begins at 4 p.m. and an intermezzo will include wine and light appetizers. RSVP to Jula Quinlan, juliaq@nac.net or call the hospice at 800-882-1117.
