Local boy becomes driver for the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile

BYRAM-Shaun Hanna, a Byram resident, has landed the position of "hotdogger" with Oscar Mayer, driving the world-famous Wienermobile. He recently graduated with a marketing degree from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. Eleven other drivers of the Wienermobiles will be joining "Hotdog" Hanna on America's highways and byways, spreading miles and miles of smiles. The group will help execute a contest called "Win the Ride of Your Life." From May 2 to July 28, the official drivers will be making stops across the country, collecting entries from hot dog lovers, both big and small. Kids of all ages will have the chance to win the use of the Wienermobile for a day, and up to $5,000, for the ride of their life. The "Win the Ride of Your Life" contest provides an exciting opportunity for hot dog and bologna fanatics to fulfill their most special wishes with the famous vehicle. Whether it's a ride for your friends and family to a local theme park, or the opportunity to surprise less fortunate kids with a day of hot dogs and fun, Oscar Mayer will grant 20 of the most unique and inspired ride requests incorporating the Wienermobile. To enter, contestants must submit their entry, in 100 words or less, explaining what they would do with the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile for a day, and up to $5,000, to make it the ride of their life. Twenty winners from across the country will be chosen, with judging based on originality and creativity, inclusion of the Wienermobile, and an element of goodwill that benefits others.
