Local dance teacher to perform in Cyprus

    Sparta - Kelsea-Janenne Fleisher, dance instructor and choreographer of Dance By Kempson in Sparta has been selected to present her work next month at the 19th Annual World Dance Congress in Cyprus. Fleisher is also artistic director of the New York Performers’ Project, a non-profit contemporary dance company founded in 1998. Fleisher has studied dance at the American School of Ballet, the Joffery Ballet, and has trained extensively at Broadway Dance Center and STEPS in New York City, among others. She has also been on the faculty of Broadway Dance Center and Peridance. Her choreography has been seen in regional theater productions, festivals, showcases and of the concert stage in both the U.S. and Austria. The New York Performers’ Project will perform Evolution, which combines contemporary movement with aerial performances. The work explores the gradual development of life and its complexities.
