Local rock band competes for a spot in Bamboozle festival

Local rockers 3 Second Lead recently competed in The Break finals for a chance to play alongside professional bands at this year’s Bamboozle Festival. The trio from Sparta secured a spot in the competition held on April 22 by virtue of their performance March 18. The Break Contest, hosted by Max Cruise, was established to help local, unsigned bands in the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania areas reach a much larger audience. 3 Second Lead plays a blend of pop-punk and rock music, placing first at last year’s Sparta Day battle of the bands. The band members are working on finishing their first full-length concept album, called “A Note to Self,” with the hopes to inspire others to better themselves by carrying a message of hope in their music.
