Mozart featured at Pacem

Warwick - The Pacem in Terris 2007 concert series begins Sunday, June 3, at 5 p.m. with a program will include the Mozart sonata in C Major for flute and continuo, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s Sonata in G Major-and-Duet for flute and violin and Telemann’s Concerto in A Minor. The performers will be Krista Bennion Feeney on violin, Gregory Hayes on harpsichord, plus John Feeney on double bass, and special guest Charles Brink on the flute. Brink is a native of St. Louis, now living in the Netherlands. He began his flute studies with Jacob Berg. Since his studies in the Netherlands while on a Fulbright grant, Brink has devoted himself to 18th-century music. He has played, toured and recorded with many ensembles both in Europe and the United States In 2006 he founded The Grand Tour Orchestra. Feeney is the acclaimed concert master of St. Luke’s Orchestra in New York City and also of the “Mostly Mozart Festival” at Lincoln Center. Hayes, who has graced Pacem’s concerts since the early 1970s, teaches at Dartmouth College. They are the musical directors of Pacem in Terris and have helped to plan the concert series this year following the death of Pacem in Terris founder Dr. Frederick Franck in June of last year. This is their first concert together at Pacem in Terris. Feeney, the virtuoso bassist, has recorded internationally on prominent record labels. Pacem in Terris is a not-for-profit organization, located at 96 Covered Bridge Road, Warwick. Tickets go on sale at 4 p.m. at a suggested donation of $10. No reservations possible.
