Newton - Crystal Springs Builders Principal Andy Mulvihill wasthe guest speaker at the Sept. 21 “Builders and Developers Mixer” sponsored by the Sussex County Economic Development Partnership. Mulvihill spoke on “Development in Sussex County, Making it Happen”. Companies involved in the building trades or providing service to the building trade (i.e.: Architects, Engineers, Landscape Designers, Paving and Asphalt, Masonry, Roofing, Siding, Plumbing Heating/AC, Electricians, Fencing, Door and Window Sales and Installation, Waterproofing, Insulation, Flooring, Sheetrock, Commercial Realtors, Financial Services and Commercial Lenders) were in attendance. The Mixer was a pre-cursor to the SCEDP Builders and Developers showcase scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 7 at the Lake Mohawk Country Club. The business-to-business showcase provides a venue for the builders and developers to get together and benefit from each other. The event is not open to the general public. “The SCEDP has been actively providing opportunities for the builders and developers to partner and share best practices in order to make it more feasible for the smaller companies to get some of the action on the bigger projects unfolding in Sussex County,” said Ted Brennan, SCEDP Board member. “If the job goes to a local contractor the money stays in the county and it’s a win-win situation for everyone involved,” he said. “Last years showcase was very well received by the businesses that participated and we’re hoping this years event will attract even more vendors.” For more information, call the SCEDP at (973) 300-1988.
